The Baby Does Everything Mommy Does

Sarah is so cute and so curious about this new member of our family. The morning after we told her she would follow me around the house look at my belly and tell me, "I think it's getting bigger." She also would kiss it from time to time.

Sarah likes to think the baby is doing what I'm doing but the visual of some of the things she is saying is just too funny. Take for instance:

"Is the Baby going to exercise in your tummy?"

"Is the Baby going to work in your tummy?"

"Is the Baby watching TV in your tummy?"

"Is the Baby doing dishes in your tummy?"

I'm not sure how Allie is feeling about all of this. She has graduated to a big girl bed this week and is doing really well staying in it at naps and bedtime. She's seen the video about a thousand times and so she knows that there is a baby in my tummy but what that means to her I just don't know. Maybe as I get bigger she will understand more. It's hard to believe she is almost 2.

Final thing: Sarah drew a family picture of us all. Daddy is holding Allie, Sarah is tall with long hair and Mommy has two babies in her tummy. Does she know something I don't know?!?!

Feeling pretty well! Had my first craving tonight as I was in the grocery store. Pickles!

How we found out!

Well it did not take much trying to get pregnant with Hahn Baby #3! I got my IUD out toward the end of September and we were pregnant by mid October!

The Ah-ha moment for me was the Sunday after I was suppose to start when I was cooking raw meat I got very nauseous. After dinner while giving the kids their baths I took a test and there it was a bold "POSITIVE" in the pregnancy window. I called Kevin to tell him we got a new bath toy - that it looked like an odd shaped Submarine and when he came to check it out his eyes grew big and he said, "No way! That's great! No way!" We hugged and kissed and jumped up and down! We are so excited! The kids probably thought we had finally lost it!

We immediately told the girls who were playing happily in their bath that they would both be big sisters. They really were excited. Then I got the video camera out to film what they thought about the whole thing. The rest is history and you can check out that film at youtube.com: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQwTbe

This blog is dedicated to our final family member. I want to keep track of the little things the girls say and do as we prepare for your arrival. We are so excited that you are on your way. We pray for a safe pregnancy and a healthy baby.
